Rain in Central Park on proposal day — and it made everything better. The Bethesda Arcade with its arched stone ceiling kept them dry just long enough for the knee, the ring, and the first kiss as an engaged couple. Then out into the rain — umbrellas up, Bethesda Fountain glowing behind them, Bow Bridge, the Lake, and finally the NYC skyline rising over the bare winter trees.
